3CE Barbapapa Makeup

*I’m not being paid for this review, but for some reason, it seems like I’m promoting brands*
I recently received my 3CE Barbapapa makeup in the mail, which was very exciting! As you can see below, I had a little photo shoot with my products.
I had never heard of 3CE (3 Concept Eyes) before, as I’m not really into makeup, but it’s a Korean cosmetic line.
I’m not sure how I came across the company, but I did, and I instantly fell in love with Barbapapa.
I also didn’t know who or what Barbapapa was, I just saw that it was cute and pink and knew that I needed it in my life.
For those of you who don’t know, Barbapapa is a French book character who is quite famous abroad. He even has a website!
Stylenanda
You can find 3CE products at Stylenanda!
Just a heads up for people who live in the U.S., international shipping is $20 if you spend less than $100, $10 if you spend over $100 and free shipping on orders over $200 (pricey, I know).
I’m one of those people who decides to spend x amount to get free shipping. But this time I resisted. I didn’t need the whole Barbapapa collection, which is currently “on sale” for $215.
eBay
I figured I was going to have to buy it elsewhere, so I checked eBay. But as I’ve never bought makeup products from there, I wasn’t sure if what I’d receive would be genuine.
Also, the prices on eBay weren’t much different from Stylenanda.
The shipping was “free,” but they seemed to already include the shipping cost in the total price as it was higher than buying it from the source.
TesterKorea
I wasn’t content with eBay so I continued to search the internet for other sites until I stumbled upon some people’s reviews for a site called TesterKorea.
The reviews seemed legitimate and I couldn’t find anything negative about the company online, so I felt good about making a purchase from the site.
They sell 3CE products much cheaper than Stylenanda, the shipping was affordable and they had the Barbapapa collection.
I was so happy I could’ve choreographed a flash mob dance number!
Price
Be aware that the conversion from Korean Won to USD on TesterKorea is not accurate. I wanted to charge my credit card and pay the KRW price (since I have no international conversion fees) but I didn’t want to risk it, so I ended up paying in USD.
The conversion is slightly off and I think they do this on purpose to make a bit of money off of you.
You end up paying around $2-3 more than what you would have if it had been converted properly.
Shipping
I ordered the products over the weekend and it took 3 business days for my order to ship. I was expecting it to take at least 3-5 weeks but my items arrived a week later.
When you order from TesterKorea make sure that someone can sign for your delivery. It’s good that they do this, as it’s a way to ensure that no one steals your products.
The items came in a sturdy box and were wrapped nicely. There were also samples included with my order, which came as a surprise.
I mean who doesn’t like FREE samples!
One of the first things I did was check that my makeup came with a black seal which guarantees authenticity.
After reading several reviews, I’m certain that the products that TesterKorea sells are authentic, so I wasn’t really concerned about that.
But you can see the little black label in some of my pictures below. I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to break the seal or unwrap things, so I can bask and enjoy the newness of my purchased items.
I still haven’t used my products, but once I do I’ll write another post!
